BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- Global automotive supplier DENSO is investing nearly one billion dollars in North America over the next four years. That includes positive news for the more than 1,800 Denso employees at their Fort Custer Industrial Park facility. More than 750-million of that will be in the U.S., creating more than 12-hundred jobs.
The investment in Michigan, California, Iowa, North Carolina and Tennessee will go toward R & D, production line expansion and the creation of new production lines. The company also plans on opening a new assembly and warehouse facility. In 2012, the firm said the Fort Custer plant would enjoy a 92-million dollar production line expansion with 60 new jobs.
