GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- A teenager is behind bars and facing charges for the most recent of Grand Rapids's nine murders so far this year.
Anthony Tompkins was shot and killed Monday night, and the GRPD arrested a friend of the victim Tuesday morning. The suspect is 18-year-old Ali Sharif Gray, and police found a handgun under a car near where he was arrested.
Grand Rapids Police Chief Kevin Belk says it's believed both the suspect and victim were in a gang.
