SPARTA (WKZO) -- Kent County Sheriff's Deputy Scott Abbatoy is recovering from a broken leg, but was able to arrest a 30-year-old man wanted in four counties at the same time.

Police received a call that the 30-year-old suspect was at a home in Sparta, but he fled as officers were on their way.  Abbatoy noticed the vehicle the suspect used to try to get away, and after a foot chase, was able to apprehend him.

Just how the deputy broke his leg in the scuffle hasn't been revealed.
