UNDATED (WKZO) --The sale of guns in Michigan continues at a brisk pace as lawmakers consider new laws banning some weapons, or further restricting sales. Owners of gun stores have seen a strong surge in sales since December and report they have a wide range of customers.
Action Impact owner Bill Kucyk says enthusiasts, collectors and first time gun buyers have been flocking to his store. He also says ammunition, especially for handguns, is running out of stock.
The FBI reportedly processed more background checks on gun buyers last month than at any other time in the history of the agency.’[
WwJ reports that dealers at a gun show held this weekend in Taylor say that gun sales have increased 5-fold in the last few weeks, and that gun stores are ordering 50 of anything and everything because manufacturers are unable to keep pace with demand.
There are also reports that some stores are running out of certain types of ammo.
