BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- Michigan Army National Guard soldiers are headed to Liberia as part of Operation Observant Liberty. The troops left Fort Custer in Battle Creek for Fort Benning, Georgia, and from there they will head to Liberia for the next 12 months.
