LANSING (WKZO) -- State health officials have now confirmed another death due to the flu.

The Michigan Department of Community Health says a 15-year-old from the central region of the state was the latest victim.  It is the fourth pediatric death due to the flu so far this year.

The MDCH says there have been a total of 285 confirmed cases of the flu statewide but that number is likely only a fraction of the actual number of cases.
