KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Old National Bancorp is absorbing Bank of America branches in southwest Michigan.  In all, they're acquiring 24 retail bank branches in Kalamazoo, Portage, Battle Creek, Adrian, Benton Harbor, Blissfield, Brooklyn, Constantine, Jackson, Niles, Paw Paw, and St. Joseph, as well as in northern Indiana in South Bend and Elkhart.

The deal includes nearly 780-million dollars in deposits.  Not all of the effects will be felt immediately as the entire transaction is expected to be completed sometime during the third quarter of this year.

In a press release, Old National says they will be working to provide a seemless transition for its new customers.
