DETROIT (WKZO) -- A former top aide of ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick took the stand in the corruption trial of Kilpatrick, his father Bernard Kilpatrick and businessman Bobby Ferguson.
Derrick Miller told the court that the ex-mayor lied about how donations to the Kilpatrick Civic Fund were used. Miller claims the fund was used to pay for polling data and Kilpatrick lied about the fund during a televised debate.
Miller also told the court that he often delivered cash bribes directly to Kilpatrick from various sources including former Cobo contractor Karl Kado.
