KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- There probably won’t be any Valentines Day for this couple, mainly because he will be in jail. Kalamazoo Public Safety isn’t releasing their names.
They say a 26-year-old Kalamazoo woman was picked up by her boyfriend for a date Saturday night from a home on North Edwards. She told officers they began to argue, he began to pistol whip her and then shot her in the arm.
He then dropped her off at Bronson Emergency and sped off. Staff at Bronson contacted Public Safety, and after interviewing her, PSO’s proceeded to a home near Jefferson and Forbes and arrested the boyfriend.
He is charged with attempted murder, two gun charges, and because he was free on a conditional bond when the incident occurred, he isn’t likely to get bail again.
