KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- An ongoing drug investigation led Kalamazoo’s COPS Division to a home near Vicksburg, where a couple, wanted on a felony assault warrant were believed to be making and selling illegal drugs.

On Saturday, they obtained warrants and raided the home in the 13-thousand block of South 42nd St. They took the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT unit along because they knew the couple was armed and potentially dangerous.

They found 5 people in the home, along with a loaded shotgun, meth lab components, finished Methamphetamine and stolen property.

The 33-year-old homeowner and his wife were arrested on those outstanding assault warrants, and one other occupant was arrested for violating probation. The other two were not charged.
