BEMIDJI, MN (WKZO) -- The Broncos and Beavers tied tonight after WMU fell behind and rallied in the third to come back,
After a scoreless first period, the Beavers jumped out to a 1-0 lead as Danny Mattison scored at 8:08 on the power play. Bemidji State added to their lead just minutes later as Cory Ward scored at the 10:40 mark to take a 2-0 advantage into the third.
The Broncos answered back in the third starting with a Kenney Morrison power play goal just 5:37 into the period. As they have all year the Broncos offense struck quickly, as Dane Walters added another goal at 7:43 to tie the game at 2-2.
Both teams were unable to score in overtime leading to a 2-2 tie in the weekend series finale.
The Broncos are back home Friday where they'll take on Lake Superior State at 7:05.
