Prince William calls for action on rhinoceros poaching

From WENN.com

The Duke of Cambridge has spoken out after a number of the animals were found shot dead at the Lewa Wildlife Sanctuary in Kenya, where he spent a lot of time during his gap year.

William, who is a patron of the Tusk Trust anti-poaching charity, has released a statement through his spokesman insisting more needs to be done to protect the rhinos from being killed for their horns.

The St James's Palace representative says, ""The Duke is concerned that action must be taken now to stem the tide before it is too late and these magnificent creatures become lost to the wild forever. Species conservation is something the Duke feels passionate about. He has been keeping a close eye on the poaching crisis... and is alarmed by the increase in the numbers being killed.""
