HOALLAND (WKZO) -- Former Holland Mayor Bill Sikkel has died at the age of 92.

Sikkel served as mayor from 1983 to 1987 and also was an Allegan County commissioner for a decade after that.  He was also a World War Two veteran, serving in the Pacific and retiring from the military in 1972.

Sikkel's funeral is set for Monday morning at 11 at Faith Christian Reformed Church in Holland.
