PORTAGE (WKZO) -- There were no reports of any injuries after a fire broke out in one of the upper story apartments in a building that housed 24 units in the Briargate Apartment Complex in Portage.
The Red Cross was on hand to provide temporary shelter to anyone who was displaced by the fire, which broke out at about 9:30 Thursday evening.
The flames were contained to one corner of the four story structure. They are still looking for the cause.
The Complex is located just off the Portage Shopping strip just southwest of the I-94-Westnedge Avenue interchange.
