LANSING (WKZO) -- The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is confirming a dairy herd in Alpena County has tested positive for bovine Tuberculosis. All of the state's cattle farms have undergone TB testing since the effort to eradicate the disease began in the late 1990s, and there have been 55 cattle herds that have tested positive since 1998. The state will hold a public meeting on the discovery next Thursday at Wilson Township Hall in Herron.
