DETROIT (WKZO) -- Sales in December for General Motors were up by nearly five-percent, while the automaker reported a nearly four-percent sales gain in 2012.

Officials say Cadillac sales were up by over 12-percent in December while Buick numbers were ten-percent higher.  GMC and Chevrolet also posted higher sales last month compared to last December.

In 2012, General Motors sold two-point-six-million cars and trucks.
