OSHTEMO (WKZO) -- A Michigan State Police trooper was rear-ended in Oshtemo Township Thursday morning.
A trooper from the Paw Paw Post had his vehicle pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway when it was struck shortly before 8 a.m. on 8th Street north of ML Avenue. A motorist in a Ford Fusion lost control on the ice-covered road, striking the vehicle.
The trooper suffered a laceration over his left eye and was treated at the scene. An investigation is being conducted by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department with help of a traffic collision reconstructionist with the Michigan State Police.
