LANSING (WKZO) -- Downtown Otsego and downtown Lansing are the latest to be named an official "Michigan Main Street."

The designations come from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.  Governor Snyder said the program helps to give communities more opportunities to grow and attract both new jobs and new residents.

There are now 44 communities taking part in the program.
