DETROIT (WKZO) -- Cincinnati's police chief says he's being eyed for the Detroit Police Department's top spot. Police Chief James Craig says that he was contacted several months ago about taking the chief position in Detroit.
Craig is a Detroit native and Cass Tech High School graduate who began his career 37-years ago in the Detroit Police Department. Craig says he is interested in the position left empty in October when Ralph Godbee resigned amid a sex scandal.
Detroit officials say they have not contacted Craig or any other candidates as of yet.
