LANSING (WKZO) -- Corporations in Michigan are being warned by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs about a scam from an entity called "Corporate Records Service."
LARA officials say companies are being asked by the scammers to pay a fee of 125-dollars to prepare corporate meeting minutes. Director Steve Arwood says the forms are designed to look like official state documents, but are not.
Any companies who receive the document should contact either the Michigan Attorney General's Office of the U.S. Postal Inspections Service, and keep the mailing for evidence.
