LANSING (WKZO) -- A nurse at Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital has won the tenth annual Cherokee Inspired Comfort Award from Cherokee Uniforms. The Michigan Department of Community Health says Sergeant Major Michael Robinson has a distinguished military career and won the Lillian Kuster Award in 2011, which is the highest honor bestowed on a licensed practical nurse.
MDCH Director James Haveman said the state is "honored" to have Robinson on the staff of the Kalamazoo facility, adding he is the definition of having an "exceptional, dedicated, and knowledgeable staff."
