ARAPAHOE BASIN, COLORADO (WKZO) -- A father and two sons from Kalamazoo, who were looking for an adventure, certainly found one this weekend when they survived an avalanche.
Marty Hodges and his two sons, Justin and Jordan were with about a dozen other skiers on a guided run in a closed area of the Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, when they found themselves being chased down the mountain Saturday afternoon by an avalanche.
Marty Hodges says he thought he was a goner. One of the other skiers was completely buried except for his face, but Marty was the only one who was injured suffering a strained knee.
