BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- Charges may be filed against an alleged animal hoarder in Battle Creek who was discovered by a city water crew doing work in the 100-block of Kingman.  They reported a horrible odor coming from the home.

18 cats, two dogs, and a rabbit were seized from the home, most of them suffering from a variety of ailments.  The two dogs had the most serious medical problems.

The woman who lives at the home with two children says she took in a few strays and it just got out of hand.  The home will be condemned and the woman charged with animal neglect.
