KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo Public Library is dealing with a unique problem for books: bed bugs.
The insects were discovered in books returned to the Washington Square Branch drop box. The books were sealed in plastic bags and destroyed, and library officials do not believe there is an infestation, but they did close Monday as a precaution.
Several years ago, the Kalamazoo Public Library began inspecting returned books for bed bugs.
