GRAND BLANC (WKZO) -- The Genesee County prosecutor says he is charging a 15-year-old Grand Blanc High School student with a False Report of Terrorism.
The felony offense could garner the teen up to 20 years in prison. Prosecutor David Leyton says the teen will be charged as a juvenile.
Allegedly, the boy told his mother there were people firing guns at the school, which prompted her to call 911. The school was locked down, and some teachers and students hid in closets.
The Grand Blanc incident happened December 19th, just days after a tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut that left 20 children and six adults dead.
