ROSS TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- A 68-year-old woman from Ross Township in Kalamazoo County has been killed in an unusual car deer collision.
She was eastbound on M-89 near 37th Street around 7:45 last evening [fri] when a deer bounded out in front of her and came crashing thru the windshield, killing her.
Kalamazoo County deputies are not releasing her name, pending notification of relatives.
The National Office of Highway Safety Planning says that a human fatality occurs in about 1 in every 10-thousand car deer collisions.
