OTSEGO (WKZO) -- Army Sergeant Mark Schoonhoven has been laid to rest in Otsego after dying last month of wounds sustained in Afghanistan.  The 38-year-old's unit hit an improvised explosive device in Kabul on December 15 during his third tour of duty in the war zone.

Several hundred turned out for his funeral, and the procession went through both Otsego and Plainwell.  Nearly two-thousand American flags lined the route.
