LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan has an Autism Coordinator for the first time, with Lisa Grost appointed to the job within the Michigan Department of Community Health. She will work with the Michigan Autism Council to develop and implement a statewide strategic plan for helping autistic Michigan residents.
Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley has an autistic daughter, and over the first several years of Governor Snyder's administration, the administration has focused quite a lot of attention on autism issues.
