ALLEGAN COUNTY (WKZO) -- Brittany Rector, the teenaged girl who was swept up in a cross country crime spree with two escaped convicts funded by burglaries and fueled by methamphetamines will stand trial for home invasion and car theft. She was bound over this week to stand trial.
The spree began when Ken Grauman and Gregory Bradshaw escaped from a northern Michigan correctional facility, and made their way back to Allegan County where they picked up their girlfriends, Laura Grauman and Rector, allegedly pillaged a few homes and made it all the way to Colorado in stolen cars before they were captured.
The girls claimed that they feared for their lives if they didn’t go along, and that they, too, were victims. The prosecution does not believe that.
