The funnyman is auctioning off ""the most unique marriage proposal ever"" on behalf of Kissing for Conservation, a charity which raises funds to protect endangered Asian elephants.

Fry will pen an online proposal to the winner's beloved on his Twitter.com page on Valentine's Day (13) and he took to the microblogging website to share a link to the auction alongside the message, ""Who's looking for a way to propose this Valentine's Day? I could help you out if you want...""

Bidding closes at midnight on 13 February (13) and had reached $235 (£150) as WENN went to press.
