HASTINGS (WKZO) -- No one has been arrested yet, but charges are likely after Police in Hastings raided a home in the 500 block of E. Madison after they got a tip that meth users lived there with two young children.

The residents admitted using meth, but denied making it, even though police found the remnants of previous cooks in the basement.

They admitted they had used meth, but only as a “last hurrah” before going into rehab this week.D.H.S. was notified to check on the welfare of the 9-year-old and the infant living there.

The next day, one of the occupants was spotted disposing of a working gas generator in the trash can of a local convenience store. That too will be added to the report going to the prosecutor’s office.
