KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo Public Safety is looking for an unusual hit and run driver.He was behind the wheel of a car that went off Hayes Boulevard in the Edison Neighborhood, headed eastbound, tore thru a chain link fence and hit a home, shearing off the gas meter in the process. It happened about 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

It could have been a lot worse than it was, but it was bad enough. The five who live at the home at Hayes Park and James were evacuated, and streets in the area closed until Consumers Energy could seal off the gas.

The driver, described as a light-skinned teenager with a pony-tail and wearing a grey sweatshirt was last seen running from the scene.
