Detroit, MI (WQLR) – In a move that surprised no one, the Detroit Lions have released wide receiver Titus Young Sr. Monday was the first day teams could release players after rosters were unlocked following the Super Bowl.
Young had numerous issues with the Lions including multiple Twitter posts all but asking for his release from the team. Young was suspended from the team during the season after lining up wrong against the Packers and for insubordination. During training camp, he was sent home for starting a fight with Louis Delmas.
Young was in his second season with the Lions after being selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Boise State.
