HARTFORD (WKZO) -- There was another multiple car pile up on I-94 in Van Buren County Saturday morning, this time near Hartford.
State Police and County Deputies report that a combination of high speed, slick pavement, driving too close and white out conditions combined to send a semi and dozens of cars into one another, and off into the median and the ditch.
It happened just before 10 a.m. Saturday. Traffic had to be diverted off the interstate for two hours until the wreckage could be cleared and a lane opened.
There were no reports of any serious injuries.
They are also reminding motorists that they need to take due care around emergency vehicles parked along the roadway, giving them a lane separation if the lane is available, and if not, slowing down to give the emergency vehicle as much space as possible. Failure to do so could result in a ticket.
