BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- Battle Creek officials are waiting anxiously to hear from the Department of Defense whether the Air National Guard Base is going to get a flying mission. Without it, they are going to lose a lot of jobs. They had been promised several cargo plane missions that fell through as the military has been realigning its priorities, replacing many manned flight missions with drones. They hope to get eight of the 32 C-130s being assigned to bases.
