FORT MEYER, FLORIDA (WKZO) -- Friends are saying that Kalamazoo businessman and philanthropist Bill Wright died from a heart problem, but investigators in Fort Meyer, Florida have ordered up an autopsy to be sure.
In a four page report, deputies report that they were called to perform a “welfare check” on Wright when he couldn’t be reached.
They used a key hidden outside his Florida vacation home to let themselves in and found him on the kitchen floor in the doorway to a veranda. He wasn’t breathing.
They began CPR which was continued by the EMS crew. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.It could be a couple of months or more before autopsy results and toxicology tests are completed.
