Propane shortage in Michigan's Upper Peninsula

UPPER PENINSULA, MI (WTVB) - Governor Rick Snyder has declared a state of emergency in Michigan, or at least parts of the Upper Peninsula because of a shortage of propane.  It’s a popular fuel to use in more remote parts of the state, but this year because of the early winter, the higher than average use for crop drying in the Midwest and problems with the Cochin Propane Pipeline, they are running low.

The Governor's order lifts restrictions on the number of hours and consecutive days that truck drivers can be on the road, allowing more deliveries, until the shortage is addressed.
