Admission rates rise for 2014 Detroit auto show

DETROIT (WKZO) -- Car enthusiasts will have to pay just a little more to attend next month's North American International Auto Show at Cobo Center in Detroit.

Event organizers say for the first time in more than ten years, admission is going up one-dollar, to 13-dollars for adults and seven-dollars for children and seniors.  Ticket prices are also going up for the Charity Preview from 300-dollars to 350-dollars.

The Charity Preview will be held on January 17th, the night before the auto show opens its doors to the public.  NAIAS officials say automakers from three different continents will unveil about 50 new cars, trucks and SUVs during the show.
