LANSING (WKZO) -- Legislation under review in Lansing will streamline the process of moving roadkill from sidewalk to stove. Senator Darwin Booher and Senator John Pappageorge support a bill which would let a motorist take an animal off the road right away as long as they follow certain procedures and keep a record for the DNR. Currently, roadkill can't legally be taken until it's tagged by the DNR or local police agency.
