KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- They are what they call ”fixer-uppers”, the foreclosed homes left over from the great recession.
Kalamazoo County is planning a tax sale tomorrow and County Treasurer Mary Balkema says there are some real bargains among the 145 parcels up for grabs, if you don’t mind putting some work into a run-down home.
She says they are all properties that have reverted to county ownership for non-payment of taxes. Some are homes, some are old factories, and some are vacant lots. You can do research at TAX-Sale.Info and take a look at exterior and interior pictures.
Registration for the Auction is at 11AM Thursday at the County Expo Center on Lake Street and bidding starts at noon.
