DETROIT (WKZO) -- The 19th Annual Dream Cruise roared, hummed and purred down Woodward Avenue from Detroit to Pontiac Saturday.
It's the largest one-day car event in the world, featuring an estimated 40-thousand vehicles and drawing between one-point five and two-million people along the cruise route. Its so big its impossible to really count how many are involved, or to see even a fraction of it.
Classic cars from New Zealand, Japan and Russia have been featured in the past, but the event is dominated by American cars, old and new, highly modified and lovingly restored, ancient relics and recently manufactured and enhanced.
Detroit's automakers have embraced the event and have special areas set up to show off classic cars along with new models. Chrysler used it to introduce their new Ram pick-up concept vehicle, which has been dubbed the "Rumble Bee".
