KALAMAZOO (WKZO) --The Douglas Community Association is planning a town hall meeting Monday evening to give the public an update on their situation after the United Way decided to end its long term relationship with the organization.
Many feel the D.C.A. provides essential opportunities and services for north side residents and it would not be wise to let it close.
The Association Board is looking for new funding sources and a community group made up of clergy and business are running a separate campaign to look for bridge funding to keep the organization operating until they can apply in the next funding cycle.
The Town Hall meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Douglass Community Association on W. Patterson.
