LANSING (WKZO) -- Its Amtrak’s latest feature to lure riders, but its the passengers who will do all the work. Amtrak is planning to offer its riders a quieter ride on the Wolverine line between Dearborn and Chicago, with stops in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.
One car will be set aside and passengers will be asked to refrain from loud discussion, excessive cell phone use and noisy computer programs.
It won’t be as quiet as a library because after all it is on a train.
It’s likely the “Quiet Car” will be the one farthest from the club car, toward the back of the train away from the horn.
Seating will be first come first served.
