LANSING (WKZO) -- The "Detroit Free Press" is reporting that campaign funds for state Treasurer Andy Dillon don’t quite add up. The newspaper is reporting that Dillon’s accounts are in disarray, with more than 100,000-dollars not properly accounted for from his 2010 campaign for governor.
Dillon and his campaign treasurer want to close the funds, however Secretary of State officials won’t sign off on the closures due to alleged financial discrepancies. Two of the state treasurer’s funds reportedly have unexplained accounting errors.
Dillon spokesperson Terry Stanton says that each issue is being addressed.
