KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Greyhound bus crash on westbound I-94 held up traffic between exits 92 and 85 in Kalamazoo for over three hours Thursday. Police say that a semi was merging on to the highway when the bus slammed into it from behind.
A female passenger on the bus, 65-year-old Cecillia Cheng from Darien Illinois, suffered critical injuries, but has since been listed in stable condition. About 20 others were also injured and were taken to Bronson Hospital. The passengers on the bus, which was headed from Toronto to Chicago, were all provided with alternate transportation.
The truck driver has been identified as 54-year-old David Diebold from Portage and the bus driver has been identified as 64-year-old Thomas Jackson from Chicago. There has been no word yet on whether the crash will lead to criminal charges.
