LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan lawmakers are debating the next state budget, and specifically, how to include more road funding in the plan, as requested by Governor Rick Snyder.
State Representative Ray Franz says that the current plan they've got right now includes a 300 million dollar expansion for transpiration funding...but lawmakers are still looking for more. He thinks a key to making it all possible will be to better prioritize.
One option is taking away money from Michigan's film production incentive. Franz says that the state also needs to be sure that all of the money raised from the gas tax actually goes into roads.
