LANSING (WKZO) -- Some state lawmakers say they've found a way to pay for more road improvements in Michigan -- by taking about 25 million dollars away from the state's film production incentive office.
Michigan Film Office Director Margaret O'Riley says this comes at a time when she's hearing from a variety of film and TV industry representatives interested in shooting here. She says that several applications have come in during just the past couple of weeks.
One big production coming to the state this summer is the next Transformers movie. O'Riley says that the Film Office still has about 21 million dollars left in incentives to give out for this year. If her budget ends up getting cut, she says it'll just have to adjust.
