GRAND HAVEN (WKZO) -- Heavy rains may be helping Lake Michigan, but not Grand Haven's Harbor Island.
Dan Vivian is Grand Haven's Facilities and Grounds Manager. He says last week's heavy rains aren't staying around, and the water is rushing into Lake Michigan.
City officials say although last week's rain brought an additional 2.5-feet of water, flooding is also making it difficult to dredge, or remove sand. They're hoping to get that started next week.
