WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- A Mississippi man is under arrest in the mailing of potentially ricin-laced letters to President Obama and Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker.
Federal officials are identifying the man as Paul Kevin Curtis. He was arrested at his home in Corinth, Mississippi. Initial tests on the letters came up positive for ricin, a deadly poison that comes from castor beans.
Michigan Senator Carl Levin's office had to be evacuated late Wednesday morning when one of the ricin-laced letters was found. A staff member was kept overnight at a Saginaw hospital as a precaution.
