KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo County Prosecutors are voicing their support for the friends and family of slain Texas District Attorneys.
The National District Attorneys Association is asking prosecutors nationwide to wear black arm bands, black ribbons, or black clothing to honor the memories of murdered District Attorneys Mark Haase and Mike McLelland of Texas, as well as McLelland's wife, Cynthia. Kaufman was killed in January, while the McLellands were killed last weekend.
Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting is joining the effort and is asking his staff to do the same. The arm bands, ribbons, and clothing are being worn on April 4th and 5th while memorial and funeral services are held for the McLellands.
Texas Governor Rick Perry has announced a six-figure reward for information leading to an arrest.
